Having been founded in 2014 Raging Bull Casino hasn’t been around all that long, but that’s been ample time for these guys – operated by the Virtual Casino Group – to build themselves something of a reputation.
What kind of reputation, we hear you ask? The short answer is… not a very good one. Intrigued? Read on to find out why.
Bonuses and Promotions
Raging Bull Casino offer a mix of matched deposits and free spins as part of their new customer promotion, with the size of that first deposit dictating how much bonus cash you’ll receive. Sounds a little complicated, but it works something like this:
Raging Bull will match your first deposit up to the following amounts:
- Deposits of $30 – $69 = 250% bonus and 25 free spins
- Deposits of $70 – $149 = 300% bonus and 30 free spins
- Deposits of $150+ = 350% bonus and 50 free spins
As for the small print:
- No wagering requirements on the free spins
- 30x wagering requirements on deposit + bonus cash
- Maximum withdrawal is 10 x deposit
We find ourselves a little unsure what to make of this one. The matched deposits seem generous at between 250% and 350%, and free spins without additional wagering requirements are fantastic.
So, what’s the problem?
Well, as with other casinos operated by the Virtual Casino Group, we just don’t have too much confidence in the offer. First off there’s the classic cheap move of claiming 30x wagering requirements, but then applying those to both the original deposit and the bonus cash, meaning the ‘real’ wagering requirements are actually much higher than stated (the vast majority of casinos apply wagering requirements to the bonus cash only).
And then there’s a distinct lack of clarity on the Raging Bull website around the exact terms and conditions surrounding the offer – different parts of the site seem to contradict one another. So, we’re left with a promotion that might be good, but probably isn’t. The very fact we aren’t entirely sure is, of course, a big red flag.
Raging Bull Casino is powered by Real Time Gaming, so there’s only the one provider here. Consequently, the library on offer is a rather small one, with around 200 games to choose from. As you might expect from a single provider casino, there’s also a fair amount of overlap in terms of features and game-types. But having said that, there are a few titles that seem to bring in players, such as:
- Aladdin’s Wishes
While there are some nice games, it’s hard to get overly excited about what is undeniably a fairly limited library. If you’re into table games, there’s a modest section to choose from, including most of the regulars you’d expect. That said, there is no live casino for those seeking that realistic twist.
In terms of payment methods you’ll find most of the regular types, but not many more.
Deposits can be made by:
Bank Wire Transfer, EcoPayz, MasterCard, Neteller, Visa, Skrill, Bitcoin
And withdrawals by:
Bank Wire Transfer, Neteller, EcoPayz, Skrill
As for speeds, things are pretty sluggish, with even the quickest of them – credit / debit cards – taking a disappointing 5-7 days plus 48 hours pending time. There’s also a pretty low ceiling of $2500 as a weekly withdrawal limit, which is likely to put off those of you lucky enough to class yourselves as high rollers.
From a support perspective, you can get in touch with Raging Bull Casino via telephone, email and live chat, all available 24/7. Unfortunately, reports we’ve seen around support are worrying to say the least. Many common complaints relate directly to the slow withdrawal times we’ve discussed above, but even more concerning are the reports of people not getting paid at all…
Clearly, paying customers who manage to come away with some winnings is just about the most fundamental responsibility of any online gaming site, so these kinds of reports set all sorts of alarm bells ringing for us.
As with other casinos connected to the Virtual Casino Group, our experience with Raging Bull has been a poor one, and there isn’t really much of anything at all to recommend the site. Admittedly, the web design and UI are reasonably well done, but that only serves to act as a promising introduction to a gaming package that has no redeeming features at all once you go more than skin-deep.
The game library is small compared to most of our favourite casinos out there and coming from a single provider there isn’t as much of a varied flavour to the games. Many feel ‘samey’, and only huge RTG fans will likely be satisfied for long.
The new customer promotion looks reasonable on paper, but familiar (at least for this group of casinos) ambiguity around the small print means we simply aren’t able to trust that we’re getting what we think we are. And then comes our real bugbear with Raging Bull Casino – the customer support and the seemingly endless quantity of customer complaints and unresolved issues.
Put simply, the moment we lose confidence in a casino’s integrity and willingness to pay out when customers win, it’s over. In short, we strongly recommend you give this site a wide berth. There are plenty of other great casinos out there which are far more deserving of your time (and even more importantly your hard-earned cash) than Raging Bull are.
What We Loved
- Web design and UI are nice
What We Didn’t Like
- Ambiguity around promotions
- Huge number of unresolved complaints
- Glacial withdrawal times
