Casino Cruise is a relative newcomer to the online gaming scene, having been established in 2014. As the name suggests, this casino is based around a cruise ship theme, and it’s fair to say they really go all-in trying to generate that atmosphere – even the loading symbol on the website features a spoked ship’s wheel.
So, is the gambling experience at Cruise Casino in ship-shape? Or does it quickly run aground?
Bonuses and Promotions
Casino Cruise offers a relatively complex mix of deposit & free spin bonuses for their new customer promotion:
£1000 welcome bonus & 200 free spins
- Casino Cruise will match your first 4 deposits up to the following amounts:
- 1st deposit – 100% up to £200
- 2nd deposit – 50% up to £200
- 3rd deposit – 25% up to £300
- 4th deposit – 25% up to £300
- Bonus must be wagered 40x before withdrawal
- Minimum £10 per deposit
- Game weightings apply
- Free spins will be awarded 20 per day over a 10-day period, and expire after 24 hours
- Maximum withdrawal from free spins in £100
- Skrill and Neteller deposits are not eligible for this bonus
As you can see, it isn’t the most straightforward of promotions, with a pretty involved list of requirements to plough through right off the bat.
But is it any good?
We aren’t so sure. In order to extract the advertised £1000, players will have to stump up £3000 of their own cash.
Then there are the wagering requirements, which at 40x are relatively high, particularly considering the investment required on the player’s part.
The 200 free spins look great on paper, but when you consider that the maximum pay-out across all 200 is just £100, it’s a little harder to get excited.
You’ll also have to log in ten days straight to claim them, and you’re stuck with just the one game to play – Starburst.
It isn’t the worst promotion we’ve ever seen – we like the fact that multiple deposits are rewarded, and that free spins are thrown in for variety – but it’s far from the best either.
If there’s one area where this casino cruises ahead of most others (see what we did there?), it’s in their selection of games.
Casino Cruise has, quite simply, one of the most impressive libraries we’ve come across, both in size and in quantity.
You can choose from a simply stunning 1300 different games here, from providers including industry stalwarts Microgaming and NetEnt (our two personal favorites), and a selection of smaller providers.
Some of the best on offer include:
- Book of the Dead
- Gonzo’s Quest
- Game of Thrones
There are also plenty of big-money progressive jackpots for those who can’t resist the chance to try and strike it rich:
- Mega Moolah
- Mega Fortune
- Mega Moolah Isis
As you might expect from a casino with such a vast library, there’s also a huge variety of table games to choose amongst, including the full suite from Microgaming and NetEnt.
How about live games?
Yep. Tons of them. You’re probably noticing a pattern here, and for good reason. There are simply huge numbers of games on offer at Casino Cruise.
You can play live versions of all your favourite casino games 24/7.
For those who do most of their gambling on the go, you’ll also find a pretty good mobile app downloadable on both Apple and Android devices.
Deposits at Casino Cruise can be made by:
- EcoPayz, Maestro, MasterCard, Neteller, Paysafe Card, Visa Electron, Visa, Entropay, iDEAL, Sofortuberwaisung, Ticket Premium, Euteller, Trustly, Skrill, Boku, EnterCash, Easy EFT, Zimpler
And withdrawals by:
- Bank Wire Transfer, MasterCard, Neteller, Visa Electron, Visa, Entropay, EcoPayz, Skrill, Trustly
As for speeds, Casino Cruise isn’t the fastest. We’ve seen worse, but there’s certainly room for improvement here.
EWallets are quickest (0-24 hours), and bank transfers are slowest (3-5 days). Pending times are 24-48 hours, which is also on the long side.
Perhaps fittingly for a company that style themselves as a world cruise experience, there’s a very large selection of currencies available.
Any small print to be aware of?
There’s a withdrawal limit in place of £5,500 per week, so high-rollers may need to look elsewhere.
If you’re lucky enough to hit one of the site’s biggest jackpots (or any win over £100,000), Casino Cruise reserve the right to pay you in instalments over 10 months.
While we feel this is a reasonable policy, we’d have liked to have seen the threshold posted a little higher.
Casino Cruise offers 24/7 support through a variety of channels, including:
Live chat, free phone, international phone and email
Overall, we’ve seen mixed reports from users on their experience dealing with support.
Often the negative reports we’ve seen relate to long delays (for example with document verification), so it may be more of a staffing issue than anything else.
Casino Cruise work very hard to cultivate their ‘cruise ship casino’ image, and it’s nicely implemented across the site, which is well put together and runs smoothly.
Admittedly, the cruise ship styling doesn’t have much of an impact on the gaming experience itself, but it’s still something a bit different, which we liked.
But what really impressed us here was the titanic library of games on offer (we’ll stop making ship puns now, honest).
1300 games is a mind-boggling number, and the quality of providers Casino Cruise have on board (oops!) means that anyone with even a passing interest in gaming online will find something to keep them entertained.
If you like to skip through multiple games in a single session, Casino Cruise is easily one of the best places to spin a few reels – you won’t run out of options in a hurry.
We weren’t too impressed with the sign-up bonus, which feels like it was designed to look good plastered across the top of the homepage, without offering all that much value, though admittedly this is an industry-wide issue.
Withdrawal speeds and document processing are slower than we’d like them to be too, but there are worse offenders out there.
So, do we recommend Casino Cruise overall?
We’re talking about one of the biggest, most impressive game libraries available at any online casino right now.
That alone makes Casino Cruise worth checking out, even if we do have a few minor gripes about the rest of the offering.
Bearing in mind that, at just 4 years old, Casino Cruise is still relatively new to the scene, they’re doing admirably so far.
What We Loved
- Vast library of games to suit all players
- Top-end software providers
- Polished website and mobile app
What We Didn’t Like
- New customer promotion could be simpler
- Withdrawal times are on the slow side
- Customer service could be more consistent
Casino Cruise Review 2018
- Overall - 9.0/109.0/10
With a truly mind-blowing library of games from a selection of stellar providers, we rate Casino Cruise this high.
